The UK leaves the EU

The subject for this week will be about the Brexit, the leaving of the UK of the EU. It was voted by them and finally a few days ago they accomplished it, after that there was even a celebration about it. Maybe because it was 3 years ago that was voted and they were very excited.

I think It would be interesting to talk a bit about it, it may have some serious repercusion to us, or even to the world. So the question is, do you think that they did good? Will it be benefciial for them and us?

  3. I don't understand about politic but I imagine United Kingdom will have benefits although the relation between UK and UE was very slow, after world war II we had made business and since this moment I think that both had had profits.
But I research the Brexit and I can see how british people have had their difference with the Brexit making a hard decision.
In the one hand, we have some benefits agree with the Brexit: be free to sign comercial agreements and with out border, end of the laws of UE in the UK, can fishing beyond UE, etc...
In the other hand, we have some disadvantages disagree with the Brexit: lower growth economic because UE won't invest in UK, possible separation the Ireland and Scotland, etc...
In my point of view, I can see how the Brexit would destroy England because I see more disadvantages then advantages.

  4. Three years after the referendum in which the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union, last January 21 was the day on which its departure was formalized.
We can see advantages such as saving 20000 million a year that they had to give to the EU. Also the possibility of negotiating more advantageous free trade agreements with countries such as China or India, but also with the EU. The United Kingdom acquires control of its borders and its security, that is, it can say who enters the country and who is expelled. On the other hand, we can find disadvantages such as the deterioration of the British economy, forcing there to be cuts that would affect health spending.
Another factor to consider is that businesses didn’t pay taxes with exports to the EU, which will change and will have to pay. There will be a devaluation of the pound. Finally, leaving the UK would cause increased difficulty in finding a job or retiring in EU countries without having a visa.
In my opinion, I haven’t been very interested in this topic, but I think that Spain won’t suffer serious damages from the departure of the UK. And as my partners have said, in Spain there are more serious problems to deal with.

  5. The UK joined European Union on 1973, when the country kept his own currency: the pound sterling, and created the “British Check”, which returned some financial contribution.
    It’s clearly a monetary issue.
Leaving the UE, the UK recover so many capitals related with the communal politics so the country have not to continue with the financing. Nevertheless, the United Kingdom will lose nearly the fifty per cent of the exports. As a benefit, the UK could control his borders, but it would lose the help of the other countries.

Personally, I don’t really care about it so I believe we have more serious problems in Spain, like the autodetermination right in Catalonia, and that’s a secondary issue. For the people who are already living on the United Kingdom, they won’t have economic or rights problems. But the ones who are living on another UE country for working matters will have so many difficulties. The departure will affect the whole UE, but not to each member.

  6. The United Kingdom be part of European Union since 1973. However, the relationship between UK and UE have been a bit special.
The BREXIT was a harmful decision. For other hand, it has been beneficial for European Union and maybe for the English country. For example, the UK is the only country which has his own currency.
That decision it’s a monetary matter. The UK get back some capitals regarding with the communal politics. Also, leaving the European politics, which was so inclusive and favourable, it lost their commercial privilege so the duty tax would be increased related to the European companies. Although the commercial inconvenient, the UK keep going representing one of the most world powers and it could improve their economy through commercial treaty and collaborating between China and United States of America.
By the time, the pound will be decrease, generating a source of negative consequences of citizens, who would be damaged until 4,300 pounds.

To sum up, I never interested the politics and their topics because of the human incompetence. In addition, I don’t believe that will be a serious problem for the future due to European community is really self-sufficient since his foundation and will be able to control the situation after the abandonment of UK. As Raul said, actually we have more serious problems in Spain that we must solve, maybe politics or economic issues. For that reason, we should prioritize our country and his internal problems. On my perspective, we have paid too much attention to the BREXIT whereas it’s not so decisive as the media show it.
