Oscars 2020: Parasite makes history as it wins best picture

The Oscars Gala was held on February 10, where different films, actors, actresses, directors, etc., were nominated for best in their category. As a topic of this week, we will talk about the victory of the movie "Parasite" in the best picture category. "Parasite" is a film from South Korea directed by Bong Joon-ho which has been the first ever foreign language film to win the best picture.
I thought this topic would be interesting since lately there is a lot of talk about the impact of this film on current cinema, which is not an American film that is the one that usually wins. Do you think this film will inspire more foreign films to get this award? Do you think the film really deserves the position it has? Or do you think another film deserves it?

    I actually thing that the dynamic of the oscars are well done, the main poit for that is because I don't usually care who is nominated or who wins. I think is very useles, there is no point in giving an award to a film, I thik the opinions on the web is more than enough.

    Now responding the questions, I think that this film was just an exception, America have a monopoly in this industry and there is nothing we can do. Also I don't thin that this film should have winned any award, I have seen it and it wasn't anything special, there are alot of better films like "The Joker" or the UCM.

    To conclude I don't think it even should have been nomitated.

    The Oscars Gala to me don't generate any interest. At my opinion is very hard qualificate the foreign movies but if the movie Parasite had been the first movie foreign in be nominated will be to some reason.

    As has been said, the movie had to be very impressive for then had been nominated how the first movie foreign because the commercial monopoly the movies is principally the origin American with business how Marvel with UCM how tell Jesus, DC with movies of heros 20th Century Fox, etc...

    Is very hard think a good reason because this film won an Oscar, I didn't see the Parasite but for its criticise in comparation with other movies is not sufficient with the standard of the other movies. The possibility of be nominated is good because give diversity in the Gala, but I think then don't deserve of the best picture category.

    Despite the fact that this year I haven't read anything related with the Oscars I believe it's quite complicated to judge the whole nominated films by a common category. As Kilian has said, this celebration is running since 1929 and I'm pretty sure it has always followed the same dynamics.

    As I was saying, I wouldn't judge an action film by the same way I would do with a comedy film, due to both include so many differences and special factors that it's ridiculous to compare (under my point of view). I know it has no sense to judge each movie by its category, since it would be a very long event and wouldn't have as much competition, but this could make that the awards wouldn't go always for an unique film.

    On the other hand, I must admit that Parasite's victory have shown that not only the American films are the most brilliant. This will stimulate more and more countries to get the prizes, but I consider American films have more preferences to get the win only for its origin.

    So I encourage the ones who has any good idea to shoot a film and present it to the Oscars and hope this will finish with the stereotypes.

    The Academy Awards, more popularly known as the Oscars, are awards for technical and artistic merit in the film industry. These awards are an international recognition of excellence in cinematic achievements as assessed by the Academy's voting membership.

    To start with, everyone knows the Oscars Gala have been celebrated on February 10. Surprisingly, the South Korean film "Parasite" received, the valorous statuette so it became the first foreign film which achieve the award. What is more, not only won the Oscar, but they knock down all the stereotypes. Also, that helped to develop globalization process related to awards. Although the Oscars have been present since 1929, only eleven foreign films were nominated.
    Parasite film will know as the first film of the history of another country which won the Oscar Award.

    All things considered, I believe that film will be remembered as the pioneer movie that destroyed the national wall of the most important awards. In consequence, the foreign films will be inspired by "Parasite" and will take it as a reference in order to achieve the victory the following editions.

    To my mind, the award for the best film should have won by "Joker" because of their argument and moral. Apart from this, the Joker shows the dirty entrails of the society, so it's a social criticism.

Sir Elton John lose his defined voice

So the topic for this week will be related with the very famous singers, as Elton John, who have sometimes so many problems with their vocal conditions. We have to recognize they work with lots of pressure, due to they owe it to the public. The thing is, Elton was performing in Auckland when he literally lost his voice and had to excuse and leave the concert. It seems to be caused by pneumonia. The singer leveraged his social networks to give a consolation for all of his fans, after crying for his vocal disaster. He was very close and guilty, but he admitted that he had given everything to fulfil what he had promised. Coronavirus: How close are we to a global pandemic?

The topic that concerns us this week consists about a serious problem, which is worrying all citizens: coronavirus. An ongoing outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, started in December 2019. It was first identified in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei, China. The infection is primarily through human-to-human transmission, via respiratory droplets that people sneeze or cough.
