Coronavirus: How close are we to a global pandemic?
The topic that concerns us this week consists about a serious problem, which is worrying all citizens: coronavirus. An ongoing outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, started in December 2019. It was first identified in Wuhan, the capital of Hubei, China. The infection is primarily through human-to-human transmission, via respiratory droplets that people sneeze or cough. This situation of extreme danger, not only scares citizen people, but also governments. Throughout this month, large number of countries have been infected by the coronavirus. Thence, measures have been taken to prevent the spread and protect the population from the infection. Speaking about that, an expert has warned the world has reached a "tipping point" in the coronavirus outbreak as fears of a global pandemic grow.
